A jury, consisting of the most authoritative Russian cinematographers and critics and at least two international personalities, is appointed by the festival director to award the best films.
The festival director doesn’t participate in voting. The overall best film, short, documentary and eco-film will be determined by jury.
The jury’s decisions are based on an outright majority.
Non-competition programs are judged and prized by special guests from these spheres.
The winner will be chosen on the following characteristics:
1. Be technically and creatively well-rounded and consistent.
2. Contain innovative elements that utilize the array of directorial decisions and creativity in style and approach to subject matter, as well as interest and importance of the content, subject, and people or things involved in the film.
Audience votes for the best film as well. An “audience award” is made by anonymous voting by the festival’s guests and will have a special prize.
